I love this song! This is a live version from Daryl Hall's garage sessions. Daryl Rocks the second verse so enjoy.

A week ago today Kevin and I stood on top of Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico standing at 18,500 feet above sea level. Before I get into the climb I want to thank the people who made it possible for me to get to this mountain and have the opportunity. The first is Zero Vapor. Michael and Tim build incredible websites (including mine) and I can’t thank them enough for their support. The other is Paradox Sports. Without Paradox Sports I would not be able to climb these mountains.

The webclips from the Mt. Baker and Castleton tower climbes are finally done. It is my understanding that the full footage will be produced into a 30 minute tv show. I can't wait to see the finished product. In the mean time enjoy these. Thanks so much to Mammut, Mountain Gear, and Paradox Sports for the oppertunity. If you support what Paradox Sports is doing become an Ambassador today.
What a trip this is already turning out to be! Yesterday I boarded a plane with my friend Kevin and we set out on this expedition to climb Pico de Orizaba. In true Chad Butrick fashion I failed to even look at my plane ticket before leaving and although we left at the same time I faced a 25 minute run through the Houston airport to my connection to Mexico City while I left Kevin sipping coffee in the same terminal we arrived at. I did get he first so whatever that counts for... I guess it counts that I got to the cerveza's first.

Last year as our Soldiers to the Summit expedition was trekking through Nepal I had the pleasure of meeting someone who I now consider a friend, Kevin Noe. Kevin and I have hooked up to do a couple of mountains here in Colorado this year and it has been a pleasure getting to know him. While on Kelso ridge Kevin asked me if I would like to join him on an expedition to Mexico to climb Pico de Orizaba.
